Let’s look at people from my region » « AppJack switched to the Fennec and he’s been dominating ever since » « maybe I need to do the same ». That influences people opinion a lot more than a great player who already has a lot of success and decides to switch to the Fennec. That’s what gets noticed, not the player who switches to car X, struggles for a year then gets one breakout performance.ĪppJack was a run of the mill player on the Octane, he switches to the Fennec, and now he’s farming a Major Region.
The only reason I'd switch back to the octane is my decal.oh boy, do I love it.That’s not the point, the point is having an amazing performance IMMEDIATELY AFTER SWITCHING to the Fennec after being on the Octane for years. My hits are more consistent, my 50s are good, I think I stick to it for quite a while. I wasn't aware how bad the octane fits the hitbox until I tried out the Harbinger. But after watching Rocket Sciences hitbox video I decided to try it out anyway. It looks ugly, there is no good decal and even the huntress decal looks a bit meh on it.
However, I switched to Harbinger two days ago and I'm loving it. With the fennec I always felt like my 50s were much better, like a ton better! Also aerials feel easier since it looks more prolonged - therefore I can better judge my position on the forward axis. I know it's all just in my head but with the Octane I feel faster, having sharper turns, I think I tend to play faster and push more due to the feel of it. I did reach GC with the fennec before I started switching back and forth pretty much on a daily basis purely because I love my Octane Racer decal in pink/dark blue <3 I mained octane for 700hrs before I switched to the Fennec which I mained for another 300hrs.
